Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how TradingPal (“TradingPal”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use tradingpal.io and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy and to our Terms of Service.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

• Account information. When you create an account with email and password, we collect your email address and a hashed version of your password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google.
• Content you save. Watchlists, saved drawings and lines, and preferences you set in the app.
• Feedback and support. Anything you submit through our feedback forms or send to us by email.
• Payment information. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe — we never receive or store your full card number. We receive limited billing information from Stripe, such as your subscription status, plan, and payment history.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data. Pages viewed, features used, and interactions with the Service, collected via Google Analytics, along with approximate location (from IP address), browser type, device type, and operating system.
• Cookies and local storage. We use cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences (such as chart settings), and understand how the Service is used. See Section 4.
• Log data. Our servers log requests to the Service, including IP address, timestamps, and the resources requested, for security and debugging.

2. How We Use Information

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including your account, watchlists, and saved settings;
• Process subscriptions and manage billing through Stripe;
• Understand how the Service is used so we can improve it;
• Respond to your feedback and support requests;
• Send transactional messages about your account or subscription, and — if you opt in — product updates;
• Protect the security and integrity of the Service, and enforce our Terms;
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Service providers that help us run the Service — Stripe (payments), Google (sign-in and analytics), and our hosting and infrastructure providers — each of which processes data under its own privacy commitments;
• Legal authorities, when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when necessary to protect our rights, users, or the public;
• A successor entity, if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — we will notify you of any such change in ownership of your data.

4. Cookies, Local Storage, and Analytics

We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage for sign-in sessions and app preferences, and Google Analytics cookies to measure usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking strictly necessary cookies or local storage may prevent parts of the Service (such as staying signed in) from working.

5. Data Retention

We keep your account information and saved content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to delete your data, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we need to retain it for legitimate business or legal purposes (such as billing records or fraud prevention).

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email info@tradingpal.io from the address associated with your account, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. You will not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children and is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International Users

The Service is operated from the United States, and information we collect is processed and stored in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time; the “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
